Do you believe in dreams?

Like when you were a kid remember when you were asked "What do you want to be"?  Money aside.......

Like the Astronaut Farmer, lets pretend that this is real for a minute.  Do you know how long it took for him to build his rocket?  That is a long time.  A long time for a wife to believe in her husband.  What are we talking about, 20 years in the making for this rocket dream.  Can you imagine night after night, all of the conversations, money deals, and time building the rocket?  Their house was about to be taken.  They have kids.  They have money problems, money needs.  They need everything that we need.  Then he puts a rocket on top of it. 

What did he do in the mean time?  He seemed to be a great father, had the family dreaming together, and had a wife that thought the world of him.  It looked as if they were married for some time, 20 years or more.  Husbands if you have a wife that believes in you, you better count your blessings and take a hold of that and cherish it.  A wife that will stand tall with you, put up with the junk that goes on because of your mistakes or the collateral damage from dreams.  A wife that believes in you when no one else believes in you.

Husbands you better follow through.  Be accoutable to your dreams.  Life is very short here on earth.

Dreams don't have to be of rockets into outerspace, dreams can be anything.  They can be whatever.

Watching a movie such as this motivates me into remembering that this is true.

This is kind of a different subject....but.....

The one thing that take presidence over anything is be the leader of your home, fathers.  We are told by scripture that everything is based on this.  Leadership is based on this.  The world says that the most important thing you do might be your job.  But, well its not.

If there is anything that I want to be remembered of me, that is that I was the very best at being a husband and a father.  We are entrusted with a very important job, that of a husband and father.  Do not take this lightly.  This is the most important job in the world.

In the movie they talke about what is said during a wedding, you know "love one another no matter what".  That means no matter what doesn't it? 

When it is all said and done and our time is spent, what happens next is up to you.  We will either be in Hell of Heaven. 

I have company at home, so I'm out.  This might have been a little heavy but I wanted to write.
