One of the first things that you need to do is learn the major scales/keys. Know these things inside and out, knowing the numbrer of flats and sharps. So when you get asked what are the notes in a E chord, you can say E, G#, and B. You also have to know what notes build a scale.
For a major chord you need the 1, 3, 5 notes out of the major scale. A E major scale is E F# G# A B C# D# E. I know that this scale has 4 sharps, and I know what they are. Then I take the 1st, 3rd, and the 5th note and play them together and you have a E major chord. Do this any where on the neck and in any order for different voicings.
In the theoretical analysis of music, Roman Numerals are employed to indicate the chord within the tonality of the composition. The Roman Numerals are placed under the staff inline with the chord in question. In Tertian Harmonic System of Western Music (harmony based on thirds), chords symbols represent the first, third, and fifth notes of the tonality. The one (I) chord always represents the tonality of the composition. Taken from here.
These files are my original tunes. These are usually recorded in my home with my home studio. I have taken my studio to other places too. These files are not perfected but a good idea with showing the public what my songs sound like.
Here might be where the bread and butter is, or maybe not. These are the rehearsals, jams, etc that have become songs at some point hoppefully. These are usually fairly long because I would record the whole session or a good part of it. These are unedited, there are mess ups, sloppyness, and some pretty good content. If you have ever wondered what things are like when writing/arranging this will give you an idea. Also there are some blank spots where we are talking but the mocrophones do not pick up much of the talking.
Other Audio Files
This is where the audio files go that are not my original songs.
