Meter
Meter is the regular recurring pattern of strong and weak beats of equal duration; also known as time. The meter or time signature in a musical composition is indicated by a fraction, and located at the beginning of a piece of music. The lower number of the fraction tells what kind of note receives one beat. The upper number tells how many beats are in a measure.

In Western music there are two types of meter, simple and compoud. In simple meter the upper number is either 2, 3, or 4. Each beat is subdivided by two.

I think my next videos will be the basics.  From some of the feedback that I got, the younger crowd or the just learning could use some basics.  So I will start going over how to hold the guitar, how the frets work, maybe some general information on amps and effects, etc.

So this should be fun and I should be able to pump these out quicker.  Maybe something like this, keeping in mind that this might completely change:

The Basics Part I

  • How to hold the guitar.  How to hold the plectrum.
  • Going over the strings
  • Going over the frets
  • Practice tips

The Basics Part II

  • Introduction to chords
  • Learn three chords and have a progression
  • More chords

The Basics Part III

  • Introduction to theory
  • Using your ear
  • Scales
